Micfil Australia Filter Refills

Filtration Media Composition

micfil filters utilize a multi-layered cellulose fiber media embedded with tear-resistant fibers. The outer layers are designed for coarser filtration, while the inner layers focus on submicron particulate removal. This is torturous filtration while achieving zero to little differential pressure.

Fiber Porosity: 0.5 μm w/ Beta Rating 200

Micfil Australia Filter Refills

Water Removal and Bacterial Elimination

MicFil filters remove 99.8% of free water from fuel and oil, preventing corrosion, acid formation, and component wear.

They also eliminate 98% of bacteria and fungi, addressing microbial contamination in diesel and oil systems.

Prevent Fuel Degradation: Microbial growth can deteriorate fuel quality, reducing its efficiency and causing blockages in fuel lines and injectors

Avoid Filter Clogs: Bacteria and fungal contamination can cause rapid clogging of fuel filters, leading to frequent replacements and increased maintenance costs

Reduce Risk of Engine Failure: In severe cases, microbial growth can lead to engine failure due to clogged injectors and compromised fuel delivery

Housing Material

MicFil offers filters in two types of housing materials.

Seawater-resistant aluminum
(RINA certified) or stainless steel (Bureau Veritas certified), ensuring high durability and performance in extreme environments.

Aluminum Al mg 4.5 (AL)
: This material is generally lighter and more suitable for lower weight applications.

V4A Stainless Steel 306 (ST): This material is heavier but offers more durability and resistance in harsher environments, such as marine and industrial applications.

AL150 - Aluminum housing: Weighs approximately 2.37 kg.

ST 150 - Stainless steel housing: Weighs approximately 4.605 kg

Flow Rates & Pressure Resistance

Different MicFil models have various flow rates:

  • AL 50 Mini: 50 L/h for diesel and 70 L/h for gasoline
  • AL/ST 150: 300 L/h
  • AL/ST 300: 600 L/h
  • AL/ST 600: 1200 L/h. These flow rates are customizable by installing multiple filters in parallel for increased capacity.

Pressure Resistance: All MicFil filters are designed for operation up to 10 bar of pressure, with versions available for up to 20 bar upon request

Applications

Diesel and Biodiesel: MicFil filters remove contaminants and water from diesel and biodiesel fuels, ensuring cleaner combustion, improved fuel efficiency, and protection from bacterial growth.

Hydraulic Oils
: These filters ensure that hydraulic systems stay clean by removing fine particles and moisture, preventing system failure and reducing wear on components.

Engine Oils (Lubrication Oils): MicFil filters extend engine oil life by removing particulates and water, helping to maintain lubrication properties and reducing the need for frequent oil changes.

Gear Oils
: The filters maintain oil cleanliness in gearboxes and transmissions, minimizing wear on gears and extending service life.

Turbine Oils
: MicFil ensures turbine oils remain free of water and particles, protecting turbines from corrosion and enhancing efficiency.

Transformer Oils
: Clean transformer oils are critical for proper insulation and cooling, and MicFil filters maintain the purity of these oils, preventing breakdown and extending transformer life.
